The Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation (MinCyT) was created in Dicember 2007. Its mission is to conceive policies, plans, programs, and instruments for the establishment and function of a National Scientific and Technologic System in order to achieve the long -term national objectives for the development of our country.
MinCyT aims to:
Increase the national capacity to generate technology and incorporate it with the goods and services produced and exported by the country;
Establish effective public-private collaborations in terms of scientific innovation;
Design and implement an active policy to disseminate information to ensure the feasibility and interconnection among infrastructure, services, and other applications.
Promote research and development
Generate reports and policy instruments for the development of technology, science, and productive innovation
MinCyT is also responsible for promoting agreements of cooperation and collaborative investigation among key players of the scientific system in order to optimize the use of public and private resources. Furthermore, MinCyT strives to achieve the best conditions for the training of highly specialized human capital, and contribute to the sustainable development of a highly competitive and productive country.
